"He was a little shy at last night's reception, but made some great friends and was adopted by several. Chip, a collaboration between designer Catherine Michiels and Ylang 23, is a chipmunk who knows how to store food. Sales benefit the Food 4 Kids Backpack program, which provides nutritional snacks to kids identified by school staff as chronically hungry. $50 of each sale goes to the Food 4 Kids program at the North Texas Food Bank.

Steven Alan

Ongoing collaboration between Catherine Michiels and Steven Alan. After being recognized for his vision and style in Manhattan, Steven Alan opened not 1 but 3 stores in Los Angeles this spring : On Robertson in West LA, on San Vicente Blvd in Brentwood and on Abbot Kinney in Venice.

The Abbot Kinney store is located in a Craftsman-style house with a courtyard signature to the neighborhood planned and executed by Abbot Kinney for his "Venice of America" which debuted for the Fourth of July, 1905.

Steven Alan like Catherine believes in craftsmanship, well designed pieces that bring something different  and soulful. Bravo !

Sophie Uliano & Julia Roberts

Catherine Michiels appeared at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, California in support of her friend Sophie Uliano's signing for her book Gorgeously Green. On Earth Day, Sophie appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show with Julia Roberts where Julia is seen wearing a Catherine Michiels Shankha Trinity in gold.

Le Petit Fred

Le Petit Fred, designed by guest artist Colette Bautier with Catherine Michiels, is the first amulet for children.

Catherine grew up watching her mother Colette draw and paint her signature bird on wood panels or canvas as gifts for her friends' children. It was only a matter of time for "Le Petit Fred", named after Catherine's brother, to enter the jewelry world as an amulet for children.

The back of the amulet reads "Happiness". The charm is worn on a small silk tie tied around the wrist for boys and girls.

Available in silver, bronze and gold. Le Petit Fred's message is : "Smile, you are the truth."
